Loving someone who makes me cry

I have avoided thinking about G because his sorry situation gives me heart a heavy feeling. And there is nothing that I can do, nothing at all, physically or for his soul. I have been avoiding him. But when I cried for him, I know that I still love him. And if I still love him enough to cry for him, may God give me grace to at least be there during the worst days of his life now.

Mom: “He is shooting at his wife’s cat.”
